Grants . Students receive Grants on the basis of financial need and do not need to repay them.
Westmont College Grants –These Grants assist students in meeting tuition costs, depending on assessed financial need and satisfactory academic performance.
Cal Grant A –This state grant for California residents is based on financial need and academic performance, and new awards for 2007-08 are worth up to $9,708 yearly at Westmont. Students may renew this grant if they demonstrate satisfactory academic progress and continued financial need.

The primary responsibility of the OFCR however, is to identify, cultivate and solicit foundations and corporations for what have been defined by the President, in collaboration with the trustees of the college, as the funding priorities for that fiscal year. Assistantships are another type of assistance available in most graduate programs. Teaching assistantships are the most common. In return for a stipend and tuition waiver, students are expected to spend about 20 hours a week teaching quiz sections (small discussion sections) of Introductory Psychology or Developmental Psychology courses or lab sections of Sensation and Perception, Cognitive Psychology, Physiological Psychology or Psychology Learning courses.
